<p></p> <div> <h3><strong>Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Community Rehabilitation</strong></h3> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Luton<br><strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary</p> <p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Band 6 Occupational Therapist</strong> to join their <strong>Community Rehabilitation Team</strong> in Luton. This service provides assessments and rehabilitation either at home or within a dedicated 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, supporting patients to regain independence after illness or injury.</p> <h4><strong>About the Service:</strong></h4> <p>The team includes <strong>occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech language therapists, clinical psychologists, and stroke coordinators</strong>, working collaboratively with patients, families, and carers. They also liaise with community services such as district nursing and social care, ensuring holistic care and timely referrals.</p> <h4><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Provide occupational therapy assessments and rehabilitation in patients’ homes or inpatient rehabilitation beds.</li> <li>Support recovery for a range of conditions, including <strong>stroke, acquired brain injury (ABI), and complex medical needs</strong>.</li> <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services to deliver patient-centered care.</li> <li>Contribute to services such as: <ul> <li><strong>Community Rehabilitation</strong></li> <li><strong>Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Case Management</strong></li> <li><strong>Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD)</strong></li> <li><strong>Wheelchair assessment and provision</strong></li> <li><strong>Inpatient Rehabilitation</strong></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h4><strong>Requirements:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.</li> <li>Experience in community rehabilitation and/or inpatient rehab settings.</li> <li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.</li> <li>A valid driving licence and access to a car (essential for community visits).</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Why Join Our Client?</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>Opportunity to make a real impact on patient recovery and independence.</li> <li>Competitive rates and flexible working arrangements.</li> </ul> </div>
