This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with courts, probation, and Liaison Diversion services to provide psychological interventions as an alternative to custody. Based mainly in Hull with travel across the region, you’ll play a key role in reducing reoffending and improving mental health outcomes for first-time and low-level offenders. Flexible working arrangements and competitive rates make this a unique opportunity to make a real impact.<hr><strong>Responsibilities</strong> <p>In this role, <strong>you will</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Assess individuals in court and make recommendations for ongoing treatment under the MHTR pathway.</li> <li>Deliver brief psychological interventions for mental health difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, and trauma-related issues.</li> <li>Work with a complex population, including those with trauma histories, neurodevelopmental conditions, and personality disorders.</li> <li>Collaborate with Liaison Diversion and Reconnect teams, as well as probation and court professionals.</li> <li>Provide clinical leadership and support to ensure effective delivery of interventions across various bases in the region and online.</li> </ul> <strong>Benefits</strong> <ul> <li>Flexible working arrangements (2–3 days per week possible).</li> <li>Opportunity to make a real impact by reducing reoffending and improving mental health outcomes.</li> <li>Work within a supportive multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>Competitive locum rates.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></h4> <p>We welcome applicants who meet most of the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>HCPC-registered Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic) or equivalent senior mental health professional.</li> <li>Experience in adult mental health and/or forensic settings.</li> <li>Ability to deliver psychological therapy and clinical interventions (not just assessments).</li> <li>Court experience desirable but not essential.</li> </ul> <p>If you don’t meet all requirements but have relevant experience, <strong>please still apply</strong>!</p> <h4><strong>How to Apply</strong></h4> <p>Apply directly through the <strong>Pulse website</strong>.
