<h3 data-start="510" data-end="532"><strong data-start="514" data-end="530">Job Overview</strong></h3>
<p data-start="533" data-end="962">We are currently seeking two experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) to join the BCHC NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham. This is a peripatetic role supporting children, families, and education staff in mainstream schools across the South South-west or North East of the city. There is also an opportunity to work in a small number of special schools for candidates with the appropriate experience.</p>
<p data-start="964" data-end="1320">This role is ideal for therapists with experience managing caseloads across the full range of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), including social communication difficulties. You will play a vital role in supporting children to develop communication skills through assessment, intervention, and collaborative work with schools and families.</p>

<h3 data-start="1327" data-end="1357"><strong data-start="1331" data-end="1355">Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p data-start="1358" data-end="1383">In this role, you will:</p>
<ul data-start="1384" data-end="2107">

<p data-start="1386" data-end="1469">Support children with SLCN in mainstream and, where appropriate, special schools.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1470" data-end="1544">
<p data-start="1472" data-end="1544">Act as a link therapist between schools, families, and clinical teams.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1545" data-end="1646">
<p data-start="1547" data-end="1646">Conduct both formal and informal assessments and deliver functional, tailored therapy strategies.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1647" data-end="1740">
<p data-start="1649" data-end="1740">Manage caseloads efficiently, demonstrating strong negotiation and organisational skills.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1741" data-end="1838">
<p data-start="1743" data-end="1838">Work within the Balanced System® framework across Universal, Targeted, and Specialist levels.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1839" data-end="1919">
<p data-start="1841" data-end="1919">Maintain accurate clinical records, including using EPR systems such as RIO.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1920" data-end="2017">
<p data-start="1922" data-end="2017">Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support child development and learning outcomes.</p>

<p data-start="2020" data-end="2107">Travel across the city; a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.</p>

<p data-start="2154" data-end="2202">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p>
