<p></p> <p><strong>Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Maternity Cover</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Claremorris, Co Mayo</p> <p><strong>Contract:</strong> Fixed Term (Maternity Cover from mid-November 2025)</p> <p><strong>Hours:</strong> Part-time, 28 hours per week (flexible options available)</p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong> Competitive, aligned to experience + excellent benefits</p> <p>Sensational Kids, Ireland’s leading non-profit child development clinic, is seeking a passionate and experienced <strong>Senior Occupational Therapist</strong> to join their friendly team in Claremorris, Co Mayo. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a modern, bespoke therapy facility that includes a large sensory motor gym, consultation rooms, and dedicated spaces for families and staff.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver family-centred therapy through assessments and interventions for children and adolescents.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide onsite support and supervision for basic grade Occupational Therapists, including remote supervision.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate within the Occupational Therapy and wider multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support colleagues with guidance, consultation, and training.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and parent/teacher training sessions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation using clinical records systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contribute to service development, CPD opportunities, and occasional workshops for parents and educators.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure therapy rooms and equipment are maintained to a high standard.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications Experience</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, validated for practice in Ireland.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum of 4+ years’ post-qualification experience in paediatric OT (preferred).</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working with children with neurodiverse conditions, autism, sensory processing disorders, and Down syndrome.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ayres Sensory Integration® training desirable.</p> </li> <li> <p>ADOS/ADIR training desirable but not essential.</p> </li> <li> <p>Accredited membership with AOTI and CORU registration (essential).</p> </li> <li> <p>Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory references required.</p> </li> <li> <p>Access to own car for travel purposes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong commitment to paediatric OT and ongoing professional development.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Why Join Sensational Kids?</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Be part of a supportive, purpose-driven social enterprise.</p> </li> <li> <p>Work in a modern, bright therapy centre with excellent facilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle.</p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunities for CPD and professional growth.</p> </li> <li> <p>Make a real difference to children and families across Ireland.</p> </li> </ul> <p></p> <p> </p>
