<p><strong>Band 6/7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Specialist SEN School (Maternity Cover)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Liverpool</p>
<p><strong>Contract:</strong> Temporary (Maternity Cover until June 2026)</p>
<p><strong>Hours:</strong> 3 days per week</p>
<p><strong>Salary:</strong> £37,600 – £45,400 (pro rata, including paid school holidays) + excellent benefits</p>
<p>Our client is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their specialist SEN school team on a part-time basis, covering maternity leave until June 2026. This independent day school provides high-quality education for children and young people with a range of needs including ADHD, autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and social and emotional challenges.</p>
<p>As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists trained in Sensory Integration, with access to an on-site SI room. You’ll also collaborate with Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Counsellors, and Art Therapists, while supporting an on-site Occupational Therapy Apprentice.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>

<p>Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to children and young people with complex needs.</p>

<p>Complete functional assessments and develop individualised therapy plans.</p>

<p>Provide therapeutic input across group and one-to-one sessions.</p>

<p>Support educational colleagues to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines.</p>

<p>Offer consultation, workshops, and training to staff teams.</p>

<h3>Requirements</h3>

<p>HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Confidence in supporting teams to create clinically informed environments.</p>
</li>

<p>Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
