<p><strong>Band 7 Occupational Therapist – Specialist SEN School</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Liverpool </p>
<p><strong>Salary:</strong> £47,810 – £54,710 per year (dependent on experience qualifications)</p>
<p><strong>Contract:</strong> Permanent – Full Time </p>
<p>We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school team in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with <strong>ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs</strong>, helping them achieve independence and thrive in their education.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Conduct holistic assessments of pupils’ sensory, motor, and functional needs.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Plan and deliver evidence-based OT interventions (1:1, small-group, and classroom-embedded).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Contribute to EHCP reviews and support the achievement of pupils’ individual outcomes.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to embed OT strategies across the curriculum.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide training, coaching, and guidance for staff and families on sensory regulation, functional skills, and independence.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Lead on developing whole-school approaches to sensory-friendly environments and inclusive practice.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy with HCPC and BAOT registration.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Previous experience in a special school setting or CAMHS service.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and parents.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and student support.</p>
</li>
