<p></p> <div> <h3><strong>Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Neurological Lead</strong></h3> <p><strong>Location:</strong> London Borough of Hounslow<br><strong>Contract:</strong> Locum<br><strong>Hours:</strong> Full-time (Monday to Friday)</p> <p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist</strong> to join their dynamic <strong>Children’s Therapy Service</strong> in Hounslow. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on neurological conditions within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to children and their families across community, school, and clinical settings.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Act as the <strong>Neurological Lead OT</strong>, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and advice for children with complex neurological needs.</li> <li>Lead and develop the <strong>Upper Limb Intervention Clinic</strong>, including standardized assessments, splint fabrication, and intervention planning.</li> <li>Work within <strong>multi-disciplinary diagnostic clinics</strong> for babies and young children with emerging neurological conditions.</li> <li>Manage a <strong>complex caseload</strong> of children with neurological and developmental disabilities across community settings.</li> <li>Provide structured training and advice to parents, carers, and education staff to support functional development and inclusion.</li> <li>Contribute to <strong>clinical research, audits, and service development</strong>, ensuring evidence-based practice.</li> <li>Offer <strong>clinical supervision</strong> to junior staff and OT students.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.</li> <li>Significant experience in <strong>paediatric occupational therapy</strong>, with expertise in neurological conditions.</li> <li>Advanced skills in <strong>upper limb assessment and intervention</strong>, including splinting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>multi-disciplinary working</strong> and statutory education processes.</li> <li>Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical reasoning skills.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Why Join Our Client?</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Opportunity to <strong>lead and innovate</strong> in a specialist neurological service.</li> <li>Collaborative and supportive team environment within a forward-thinking NHS Trust.</li> <li>Commitment to <strong>professional development</strong>, research, and service improvement.</li> </ul> </div> <p> </p>
