<h4><strong>About the Service</strong></h4>
<p>Our Client is funded by the NHS and commissioned by the local CCS. They provide a coordinated Occupational Therapy service for children and young people aged 0–18 years with significant disabilities and complex health needs.</p>
<p>The team supports children in early years settings, mainstream schools, and special schools, focusing on functional difficulties in self-care, school-based activities, mobility, and posture. They aim to help children achieve their potential in daily living activities through tailored interventions.</p>

<h4><strong>About the Role</strong></h4>
<p>As a <strong>Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist</strong>, you will work as an autonomous practitioner across a range of settings, delivering high-quality occupational therapy to children and young people with complex physical, learning, and social needs.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Managing a specialist caseload and providing evidence-based interventions.</li>
<li>Writing reports for EHCPs and multidisciplinary assessments/reviews.</li>
<li>Offering specialist advice to other professionals and caregivers.</li>
<li>Supervising students on clinical placement and supporting junior staff.</li>
<li>Contributing to service development through audits and research.</li>
</ul>

<h4><strong>About You</strong></h4>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Diploma/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.</li>
<li>HCPC registration.</li>
<li>Evidence of CPD and relevant specialist training.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Clinical assessment and intervention experience as an OT.</li>
<li>Passion for paediatrics and knowledge of child development and neurodevelopment.</li>
<li>Ability to plan, prioritise, and work autonomously.</li>
<li>Skilled in preparing clear, multi-agency reports.</li>
<li>Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and assessments.</li>
<li>Experience with physical and developmental disabilities.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Experience supervising students or junior staff.</li>
</ul>
