It caters to a diverse cohort of learners with a wide range of needs, offering tailored education and therapeutic support to help pupils achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.</p> <p data-start="1094" data-end="1523">This role is suitable for a Band 6 therapist looking to further develop their specialist skills, or a Band 7 therapist seeking a more senior or leadership-focused position. You will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and delivering high-quality speech and language interventions, working closely with education and clinical colleagues to support pupils’ communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning.</p> <hr data-start="1525" data-end="1528"> <h3 data-start="1530" data-end="1556">Key Responsibilities</h3> <p data-start="1557" data-end="1582">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1583" data-end="2388"> <li data-start="1583" data-end="1781"> <p data-start="1585" data-end="1781">Assess, diagnose, and support children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) alongside complex learning needs and social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.</p> </li> <li data-start="1782" data-end="1870"> <p data-start="1784" data-end="1870">Design and deliver individualised therapy programmes tailored to each pupil’s needs.</p> </li> <li data-start="1871" data-end="1974"> <p data-start="1873" data-end="1974">Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families, and the wider multi-disciplinary team.</p> </li> <li data-start="1975" data-end="2083"> <p data-start="1977" data-end="2083">Provide advice, strategies, and training to school staff to support communication across the curriculum.</p> </li> <li data-start="2084" data-end="2193"> <p data-start="2086" data-end="2193">Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="2194" data-end="2269"> <p data-start="2196" data-end="2269">Contribute to reviews, EHCP processes, and multi-disciplinary meetings.</p> </li> <li data-start="2270" data-end="2388"> <p data-start="2272" data-end="2388">For Band 7 applicants: offer clinical leadership, mentoring, and supervision to junior colleagues where appropriate.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2390" data-end="2393"> <h3 data-start="2395" data-end="2430">Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p data-start="2431" data-end="2479">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="2480" data-end="2961"> <li data-start="2480" data-end="2551"> <p data-start="2482" data-end="2551">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="2552" data-end="266 ...
