The school caters to pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of needs, including speech, language, and communication difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.</p> <p data-start="842" data-end="1070">As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work closely with students to assess, diagnose, and deliver tailored interventions that support their communication development, enabling them to thrive in their learning environment.</p> <hr data-start="1072" data-end="1075"> <h2 data-start="1077" data-end="1102">Key Responsibilities</h2> <p data-start="1103" data-end="1126">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1128" data-end="1689"> <li data-start="1128" data-end="1225"> <p data-start="1130" data-end="1225">Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to support students' communication development.</p> </li> <li data-start="1226" data-end="1327"> <p data-start="1228" data-end="1327">Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs using standardised and informal tools.</p> </li> <li data-start="1328" data-end="1430"> <p data-start="1330" data-end="1430">Develop and implement personalised therapy plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.</p> </li> <li data-start="1431" data-end="1534"> <p data-start="1433" data-end="1534">Provide training and support to school staff and parents to enhance students' communication skills.</p> </li> <li data-start="1535" data-end="1625"> <p data-start="1537" data-end="1625">Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1626" data-end="1689"> <p data-start="1628" data-end="1689">Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and reviews.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1691" data-end="1694"> <h2 data-start="1696" data-end="1728">Qualifications Experience</h2> <p data-start="1730" data-end="1744"><strong data-start="1730" data-end="1744">Essential:</strong></p> <ul data-start="1746" data-end="2147"> <li data-start="1746" data-end="1815"> <p data-start="1748" data-end="1815">Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="1816" data-end="1932"> <p data-start="1818" data-end="1932">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p> </li> <li data-start="1933" data-end="2024"> <p data-start="1935" data-end="2024">Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication difficulties.</p> </li> <li data-start="2025" data-end="2078"> <p data-start="2027" data-end="2078">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> </li> <li data-start="2079" data-end="2147"> <p data-start="2081" data-end="2147">A proactive and reflective approach to professional development.</p> </li> </ul> <p data-start="2149" data-end="2163"><strong data-s ...
