<p><strong>Contract Type:</strong> One year fixed full-time (TBC) post, 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility to extend after one year (to be confirmed)</p>
<p><strong>Accountable To:</strong> Specialist Rehabilitation Services Manager</p>
<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care and support to adults with neurological conditions.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders in adults with neurological conditions.</li>
<li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.</li>
<li>Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Qualifications:</strong> Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).</li>
<li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, with significant experience in adult neuro rehabilitation.</li>
<li><strong>Skills:</strong> Excellent communication, assessment, and therapeutic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li><strong>Knowledge:</strong> Strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on communication and swallowing.</li>
