Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>LEAD, NDE AUDIT CERIFICATION (STARSHIP)</strong></p> <p>The Lead NDE Trainer is responsible for leading a team of trainers with the fundamental belief that education and knowledge are power. A SpaceX Lead NDE Trainer combines that belief with a strong sense of urgency, creativity, resourcefulness, and leadership, while loving opportunities for hands-on application and mentoring. The ideal candidate brings extensive industry experience, oversees training programs, and is armed with exceptional communication skills, innovative problem-solving ability, and proven team management expertise.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and creation of course materials, such as PowerPoints, student handouts, and tests for instructor-led programs with student assessments</li> <li>Oversee proctoring of exams, conduct and coordinate training modules (classroom and online) for production personnel on a variety of technical topics such as: NAS-410 Level I and II classroom training, certified welding inspection, manufacturing processes and technologies, specific equipment machine operation, processes and systems (e.g., workflow, QMS, safety, using software applications, etc.), and special assignments as needed</li> <li>Engage with production management, engineering, quality, and subject matter experts to gather required technical information on complex manufacturing processes and technologies, mentor team members in these interactions</li> <li>Provide expert feedback as appropriate on manufacturing/processing methods and technologies</li> <li>Develop, review, and approve policies, standards, processes, and documentation to ensure continued success and compliance</li> <li>Facilitate interactions between engineering, technicians, and 3rd parties for clarifications, leading resolution efforts</li> <li>Support the RD department in technology development for operational improvement and optimization, guiding team contributions</li> <li>Assist and mentor Level II personnel; represent NDE training in cross leadership meetings</li> <li>Mentor and manage a team of NDE trainers, conduct performance evaluations, and drive continuous improvement in training delivery</li> <li>Oversee training program metrics, ensure scalability, and implement innovative training strategies to meet organizational goals</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>8+ years of experience working with NDE methodologies as a certified Level II Inspector for at least 3 methods</li> <li>1+ years of experience leading teams, projects, or technical training</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a technical trainer or lead conducting hands-on, instructor-led technical courses in a production environment</li> <li>Level II certification in 3 or more surface methods (Visual, Penetrant, Computed Radiography, Ultrasonic-Shear Wave)</li> <li>Level II certification in two or more advanced methods (Digital Radiography, Phased Array, or Eddy Current)</li> <li>Level III certification in at least one method (Visual, Penetrant, Computed Radiography, Ultrasonic-Shear Wave, (Digital Radiography, Phased Array, or Eddy Current)</li> <li>Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)</li> <li>Certified Welding Educator (CWE)</li> <li>Experience with video editing, online training module development, and learning management systems (LMS)</li> <li>Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software</li> <li>Advanced skills to independently analyze, review, research, and lead improvements in manufacturing pro ...
