Our UI team builds intuitive, powerful interfaces that make complex distributed systems understandable and usable across both our open-source offering and Temporal Cloud.</p> <p>We’re seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer (also open to mid-level) to join our UI team and play a key role in building and evolving the user experience for Temporal’s products. In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex frontend features across our enterprise SaaS platform and open-source projects, delivering performant, scalable, and thoughtfully designed interfaces that handle real-time, high-volume system data.</p> <p>You’ll partner closely with designers, Cloud/SDK/Server engineers, and product leaders to translate complex system behavior into clear, intuitive user experiences, while maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and accessibility.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain high-performance, interactive UIs using Svelte, TypeScript, Tailwind and modern development and build tools<br><br></li> <li>Own and deliver critical frontend features across:</li> <ul> <li>Temporal Open Source</li> <li>Temporal Cloud</li> <li>Developer-facing products</li> <li>Internal tools and marketing surfaces<br><br></li> </ul> <li>Focus on reliability and scalability of UI features that grow with the platform<br><br></li> <li>Build intuitive data visualization experiences that help users understand, explore, and debug complex distributed systems<br><br></li> <li>Take ownership of frontend components and features from concept through production, including iteration and refinement<br><br></li> <li>Collaborate closely with a seven-person frontend team to deliver both revenue-driving initiatives and long-term platform investments<br><br></li> <li>Contribute to extensible, customizable UI architectures that support a wide range of customer use cases<br><br></li> <li>Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews to raise the overall quality of the frontend codebase<br><br></li> <li>Help guide frontend best practices around performance, maintainability, and accessibility<br><br></li> </ul> <ul> <li>Building fast, responsive UIs capable of rendering and interacting with large volumes of real-time data<br><br></li> <li>Designing sophisticated data visualization and exploration tools that allow users to drill deeply into system behavior<br><br></li> <li>Creating extensible client-side architectures that support customization and extensibility without sacrificing performance or clarity<br><br></li> <li>Balancing feature richness with simplicity and performance in complex enterprise applications for distributed systems<br><br></li> <li>Ensuring frontend systems remain maintainable and scalable as the product and team grow<br><br></li> </ul> <h3>What You’ll Bring</h3> <ul> <li>Strong experience building modern web applications us ...
