This team is responsible for delivering a unified, secure, scalable developer experience across products and services. </p> <h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>About the role:</strong></span></h3> <p>CoreWeave is seeking a Principal Engineer for our API Platform, working across the engineering organization to define and evolve our public API platform and developer interfaces. We’re actively standardizing on a <strong>gRPC-first foundational interface</strong> (with generated REST) to accelerate delivery of SDKs, Terraform, and platform-wide consistency; the role will be a primary driver of this transition and its long-term technical direction.</p> <p><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver a cohesive, reliable <strong>CoreWeave Cloud API</strong> that becomes the foundation for all developer touchpoints (Console, SDKs, CLI, IaC), enabling customers to self-serve provisioning and operations at scale.</li> <li>Deliver an internal API Governance strategy to drive consistency and standardization of our public interfaces, and to increase velocity of internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Drive our <strong>IaC-first</strong> strategy and enable day-one Terraform support for new GA products, accelerating time-to-first-production for customers and reducing operational load.</li> <li>Establish and meet <strong>API reliability goals</strong> and partner with production engineering on SLIs/SLOs, observability, and incident response maturity.</li> <li>Shape identity and access management evolution toward unified, fine-grained access policies across products, ensuring consistent authorization patterns and developer experience.</li> </ul> <h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Who You Are:</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience building and operating public APIs and backend services in production, including ownership of reliability and security outcomes.</li> <li>Proficiency in <strong>Go</strong> and experience with Terraform, <strong>protobuf/gRPC</strong> and <strong>REST</strong> design.</li> <li>Strong understanding of cloud computing infrastructure using Kubernetes, scalable architectures, and automation.</li> <li>Strong communication and leadership skills; track record of delivering cross-organizational initiatives as the technical lead</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize problem statements from interactions with customers and design solutions given ambiguous requirements.</li> <li>Solid grounding in <strong>CI/CD</strong>, testing strategies, and safe rollout/deprecation practices for API changes.</li> <li>Prior contributions to <strong>Terraform providers</ ...
