So what do you say, are you in?  📍Your Impact Starts Here We’re looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to help build the next generation of how customers interact with Homebase. You’ll play a key role in crafting the user experience layer for our AI-powered assistant — designing intuitive, high-performance interfaces that make intelligence feel seamless, trustworthy, and deeply embedded in daily workflows. This is foundational, customer-facing work that will transform how small businesses run. These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role: - Design and build scalable, performant frontend software used by Homebase customers - Develop intuitive UI patterns that bring AI-driven insights and automation directly into customer workflows - Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, ML Platform, Applied AI, Infrastructure, and Identity teams to ship cohesive AI-powered experiences - Help shape frontend architecture that supports real-time intelligence, personalization, and proactive system behavior - Empower other frontend teams by improving tooling, workflows, and shared patterns - Evaluate and recommend emerging frontend frameworks and technologies - Mentor junior engineers and lead by example with clean, maintainable code - Contribute to our transition into an AI-first engineering culture by leveraging tools that increase velocity and quality 🚀 The Foundation for Success - These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role: - 3+ years of frontend development experience, preferably with React.js - Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Experience building scalable, maintainable UI systems - Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows - Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Bonus if you bring: - Experience building AI-enabled or data-intensive interfaces - Familiarity with real-time systems, personalization, or complex state management - A strong product mindset and excitement about building intelligent software 🤝  The Homie Way - These principles guide everything we do—from how we work and make decisions to how we show up for each other. - 💡 Be Customer Obsessed – Solve problems with empathy and creativity. - ⚡ Move Fast, Learn Fast – Experiment, take action, and grow every day. - 🎯 Own Your Impact – Think big, focus on what matters, and make decisions you stand behind. - 🏆 Master Your Craft – Excellence fuels impact—show up, step up, and make your mark. - 🏅 Win Together – Put goals over roles, lead with trust, and connect to our mission and each other.
