Role Details Location: Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is based out of our Sofia office and is not eligible for full-time remote work. About the role As a founding Product Manager on our growing Sofia EPD (Engineering Product Design) team, you won’t just inherit a roadmap — you’ll help define it. You’ll own mission-critical product areas such as Scheduling, Reporting, and our Enterprise Platform (admin settings, permissions, etc.), and you’ll play a central role in shaping product culture, execution quality, and our product direction. This is a rare chance to influence product strategy at a pivotal moment of growth while partnering closely with US-based teams and customers. What are we looking for Ability to define and drive product strategy and roadmap Ability to translate the company vision into structured product plans with clear priorities and measurable outcomes Deep understanding of customer needs Someone who has partnered closely with several engineering teams to ensure high-quality execution Experience in leading discovery efforts, including customer conversations (primarily US-based), data analysis, and experimentation Experience in balancing long-term platform thinking with near-term delivery excellence Experience in raising the bar for product processes, documentation clarity, and decision-making frameworks Ability to drive alignment across the US and Bulgaria teams, ensuring strong cross-time-zone collaboration About You 5+ years in a product management role Strong strategic thinking — you consistently ask “why” before defining “what” Clear, structured communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to accommodate customer calls and maintain meaningful overlap with San Francisco working hours Excellent product intuition and judgment Self-starter mentality — you can navigate ambiguity and figure things out without waiting for perfect direction Experience working with US-based companies and comfort collaborating across time zones Willingness to travel occasionally Nice to have (not required): Experience in the Talent Acquisition or recruiting domain Familiarity with enterprise B2B workflows Bonus Points If You Have Experience in a venture-backed startup environment B2B SaaS product experience Built or scaled platform-level capabilities (permissions, reporting frameworks, admin controls) Benefits Highly competitive salary & equity 20+5 paid days off 17 paid holidays, including national holidays and regular company-wide wellness days Supplemental medical insurance USD 1200/year annual stipend for learning and development opportunities Up to 16 weeks of Paid Parental Leave for birthing and non-birthing parents New Parent Perks totaling USD 900 and flexibility upon return to work Gem is an equal opportunity employer.
