Revenue Accountant

<p><strong>The opportunity</strong><br>Join Unity’s Revenue Accounting team to support accurate and scalable revenue reporting for one of the world’s largest mobile monetization and advertising platforms. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, this role will be a key contributor to the period-end close, high-volume revenue reconciliations, and operational accounting processes. You will work closely with Operations, Product, Sales, and Data teams to ensure revenue, billing, and partner payouts are accurately recorded and supported. This role will help strengthen Unity’s financial reporting, audit readiness, and SOX-compliant control environment across the business.<br>This is a hybrid position at our Bangalore office, with required working hours from 2 PM to 11 PM IST (including a one-hour lunch break). Are you available to work during these non-standard shift hours?</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute the close processes for revenue, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedules, in accordance with established SOX controls and internal control requirements.</li> <li>Perform revenue, billing, payout, and collections reconciliations across high-volume transactions with appropriate control documentation.</li> <li>Analyse and support disputes, adjustments, cancellations, rebills, and partner corrections impacting revenue and payouts.</li> <li>Prepare variance (flux) analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, audit schedules, and SOX control support with clear documentation.</li> <li>Drive process improvements and automation while ensuring continued compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, with hands-on experience in revenue accounting, close, and reporting processes.</li> <li>Knowledge in monthly closing procedures, strong ability in preparing Balance sheet reconciliation and calculations. Experience with SOX compliance <br>Strong Excel / data handling skills to reconcile large transaction-level datasets.</li> <li>Understanding of billing, partner payouts, adjustments, disputes, cancellations, and re-bills accounting flows.</li> <li>Experience supporting internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, responses to queries, and maintaining documentation in compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.</li> <li>CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting certification</li> </ul> <p><strong>You might also have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to enterprise financial systems and reporting tools such as Workday, NetSuite</li> <li>Experience working in a Big 4 or public company environment, preferably within a SOX-compliant reporting framework.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional information</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relocation support is not available for this position</li> <li>Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong><br>At Unity, we want our team members to thrive.
