Senior Accountant

<p><strong>The opportunity</strong><br>Unity’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of our team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall accounting processes within the organization. The candidate should have general accounting knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: intercompany, treasury, operating expenses, capital expenditures, leasing, and payroll among other topics.</p> <p>At Unity, you’ll make a difference. This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Close Process and Journal Entries: Conduct timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, and prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.</li> <li>Reporting and Financial Statements: Assist with monthly reporting flux analysis, and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements/footnotes and SEC supporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Accounting Issues and Process Improvements: Research and analyze complex accounting issues, provide recommendations to management for proper accounting treatment and potential impact on financial forecasts, and develop and implement process improvements, work on automation initiatives, and document standard operating procedures.</li> <li>Audit Support and Business Partnerships: Support external/internal audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility, and support business partners (sales, finance, tax, legal) on new business launches and initiatives by advising on the accounting treatment.</li> <li>Management Support and Customer Service: Support management by completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks, and provide best-in-class customer service to internal stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>CA or equivalent certification. or good experience in managing hosting expenses in a large, multi-entity organization.</li> <li>Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant, with a strong background in US GAAP and SOX.</li> <li>Teamwork: Strong team player that is willing to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li> <li>Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.</li> <li>Attention to Detail: Proven attention to detail.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You might also have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Adaptability and Proactivity: Adept at handling shifting priorities, meeting deadlines, and proactive with an eagerness to learn and try new things.</li> <li>Teamwork: Ability to work with team members spread across different geographies.</li> <li>Technical Skills: Experience with Workday Financials and/or Netsuite, knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level, and familiarity with BI tools such as Alteryx.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional information</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relocation support is not available for this position</li> <li>Work visa/immigration sponsorship is not available for this position</li> </ul> <p><strong>Life at Unity</strong></p> <p>Unity [NYSE: U] is the world’s leading game engine, powering play for more than 3 billion consumers each month.
