Senior Manager, Systems Engineering

The Systems Engineering team at Snyk is fundamental to the execution of Snyk's strategic and operational IT objectives. This leadership role will be central to the systems integration and automation initiatives that directly contribute to achieving business goals. Skills that will make the manager in this role successful will be leadership (both technical and team), technical competency in all systems owned by Snyk IT, prioritisation, communications, and soft skills. What You’ll Do: Manage strategic and day-to-day operations of Snyk Systems Engineering. Able to operate autonomously and make important engineering decisions with confidence. Plan and run sprints for work to be done by Systems Engineers. Guide and contribute towards the execution of key strategic projects. Handle intake of new work to Systems Engineering for triage, prioritisation, and assignment Partner cross-functionally with InfoSec, compliance, people team, and workplace experience functions on integrations, processes, and automations. Ensuring IT compliance with regulatory and security certifications, including SOC2, ISO27001, FedRAMP, and IT General Controls (ITGC)/SOX. Implement automation workflows and AI to augment business processes, leading to the elimination of manual toil and the introduction of increased efficiencies. What You Bring: 7+ years of experience within System Engineering, with at least 3+ years in a management or supervisory role. Demonstrated expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and zero-trust device solutions, with a strong preference for Okta. Capability to develop automation workflows utilizing low-code/no-code platforms, such as Workato or an equivalent solution. Extensive experience in the administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Proficient in Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including JAMF, Intune, and Jumpcloud. A proven track record of successfully implementing artificial intelligence (AI) and automation strategies to mitigate or eliminate operational inefficiency (toil). Proficiency in Jira and Confluence platform administration. Comprehensive foundational knowledge of core IT concepts, including DNS, SSL Certificates A steadfast commitment to a security-first methodology for all IT systems. Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems. Demonstrated experience with the administration of AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
