<h3>About the Team</h3> <p>The Market Intelligence team is responsible for delivering clear, defensible, and forward-looking market perspectives to executive leadership, the board of directors, and investor relations teams. We operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and executive decision-making. As AI reshapes industries and business models, we want to ensure that leadership has a precise understanding of market size, segment dynamics, competitive entrenchment, and structural shifts. </p> <h3>About the Role</h3> <p>We are hiring an Automation Engineer to architect and build the intelligence operating system that powers the team. This person will design, implement, and maintain automated workflows across tools such as n8n, <a href="http://monday.com">Monday.com</a>, Salesforce, RSS feeds, APIs, and LLM platforms. </p> <p>This role is about leverage: eliminating manual work, structuring unstructured data, and building reliable pipelines that transform fragmented information into structured, executive-ready intelligence. </p> <p>You will work directly with the Director of Competitive Intelligence to build the team's automation backbone. </p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Architect and maintain automation workflows (e.g., n8n or equivalent orchestration tools)</li> <li>Build ingestion pipelines from Salesforce and other systems to extract competitive signals</li> <li>Automate recurring reporting (deal support metrics, battlecard refresh triggers, newsletter feeds, TAM updates)</li> <li>Integrate LLM workflows for summarization, tagging, clustering, and signal detection</li> <li>Create structured data schemas for competitive and market intelligence</li> <li>Design monitoring systems to ensure automation reliability and data accuracy</li> <li>Reduce manual analyst workload through systematic tooling improvements</li> <li>Document workflows and create SOPs for long-term scalability</li> </ul> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>4+ years of software engineering or automation engineering experience</li> <li>Strong experience with APIs, workflow orchestration tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, etc.), or equivalent</li> <li>Proficiency in Python and JavaScript</li> <li>Experience working with Salesforce data structures and CRM exports</li> <li>Experience building data pipelines and working with structured/unstructured data</li> <li>Familiarity with LLM APIs and AI-driven automation use cases</li> <li>Strong systems thinking and bias towards simplification</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Experience in strategy, analytics, or intelligence functions</li> <li>Experience building internal tools for executives</li> <li>Familiarity with competitive intelligence or GTM organizations</li> <li>Exposure to database ecosystems, cloud infrastructure, or developer tooling</li> <li>Interest in AI market trends and automation strategy</li> </ul> <h3>About MongoDB</h3> <p>MongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
