There is currently no team member supporting these sites, and timely hiring is critical to maintaining operational continuity and service standards.</p> <p>As a Lead Health Information Specialist, you will play a key role in overseeing daily Release of Information (ROI) workflows, supporting operational efficiency, and serving as a point of communication between office managers, site leadership, and internal teams.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform daily work within the EMR system</li> <li>Enter and process requests through <strong>HealthSource</strong></li> <li>Accurately fulfill Release of Information (ROI) requests within required turnaround times</li> <li>Manage multiple work queues simultaneously</li> <li>Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant</li> <li>Provide call support related to medical record requests</li> <li>Perform faxing, scanning, and other document processing activities</li> <li>Communicate effectively with office managers and leadership</li> <li>Support reporting and operational oversight as needed</li> <li>Lead by example and assist with workflow coordination and training support</li> </ul> <p><strong>⭐ What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <p>We’re seeking someone who is:</p> <ul> <li>Interested in leadership and motivated to grow in a lead role</li> <li>Professional, dependable, and service-oriented</li> <li>Reliable and punctual — attendance is critical</li> <li>A strong communicator with both clients and internal teams</li> <li>Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively</li> <li>Willing to be trained and eager to lead by example</li> <li>Experienced in healthcare, HIM, or ROI environments</li> </ul> <p>🎓 Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED</li> <li>Prior healthcare, medical records, HIM, or ROI experience required</li> <li>Experience with ROI processes and EMR systems required</li> <li>Proficiency with computers, email, and standard office equipment</li> <li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead or supervisory experience</li> <li>Experience working within HealthSource</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-sheets-root="1">To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
