Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, software validation testing and much more. This position is looking for a highly motivated test and evaluation engineering manager for the Altius UAS platform. You will perform evaluation of hardware and software capabilities in lab and flight test environment and lead a team of test engineers.<strong> </strong><br><br><strong>ABOUT THE JOB</strong><br>The Test and Evaluation team is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineering Manager. In this role you will lead a team of test engineers to conduct system level development testing and evaluate hardware and software readiness. <br><br><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.</li> <li>Oversee the planning and execution of complex test efforts, including task delegation and resource coordination for team members.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with software engineers and cross functional teams to ensure thorough validation of new software, end-to-end functionality, and bug fixes.</li> <li>Conduct Software and Surrogate platform testing, including validation and regression tests to ensure new features align with system capabilities and mission objectives.</li> <li>Analyze data from tests to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement, iterating rapidly to refine hardware implementation and software behaviors.</li> <li>Create processes for testing system functionality using HITL and COTS UAS platforms</li> <li>Drive the advancement of Anduril's testing methodologies, with a focus on Group 2 UAS, to ensure robust and reliable performance in complex operational scenarios.</li> <li>Contribute to the strategic direction of the TE team, identifying opportunities for process improvements and advocating for advanced testing tools and methodologies.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h2> <ul> <li>A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in robotics or autonomous systems testing.</li> <li>Minimum of 6 years of experience in software/hardware testing, with a strong emphasis on autonomous or remotely piloted systems.</li> <li>Minimum 2 years in a lead or mentoring role for technical teams, or significant project leadership.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability in developing and executing test plans for complex systems within aggressive timelines.</li> <li>Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various testing locations up to 25% of the time</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret-Level security clearance.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience in the development, flight testing, and deployment of unmanned systems in a defense or aerospace context.</li> <li>Familiarity with software development practices and experience with programming languages used in autonomy a ...
