Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST (SATELLITE TRANSCEIVER)</strong></p> <p>SpaceX is developing a low latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers across the globe. Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable. We are looking for a talented manufacturing specialist to support production of optoelectronic devices for Starlink.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Execute and manage new configuration introduction into production on aggressive timelines</li> <li>Identify, develop, and provide training for production technicians on new or updated processes</li> <li>Program and operate microelectronics assembly machines (die/wire bonding machines)</li> <li>Train technicians to run/troubleshoot complex machines</li> <li>Create and support equipment maintenance and calibration schedules</li> <li>Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for iterative process improvement</li> <li>Design and implement assembly fixtures / shop aids to improve manufacturing processes</li> <li>Specify equipment requirements for new PCBA build processes</li> <li>Implement standard practices, troubleshooting guides, and standard repair procedures</li> <li>Assess non-conforming hardware and drive resolution and preventative actions</li> <li>First level triage of production yield issues and other hardware failures</li> <li>Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and design teams on design for manufacturing</li> <li>Improve manufacturing systems to ensure rate capability</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>2+ years professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment or a bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline</li> <li>Hands-on experience with microelectronics manufacturing processes (die/wire bonding), SMT, or silicon packaging</li> <li>Experience with MIL-STD-883 test methods and procedures</li> <li>Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed schematics, engineering drawings, and instructions</li> <li>Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills</li> <li>Strong desire and ability to learn quickly, adapt, and innovate</li> <li>Ability to work both autonomously and as a team in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
