You’ll be representing Apify across the local community, connecting with partners, and attending key events. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to already be based in the Bay Area. To support our mission, we're looking for a Senior Developer Advocate, with a strong background in AI, to lead and expand the Apify developer community in the Bay Area, and enhance engagement with the broader developer ecosystem. In this senior position, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to raise awareness and drive adoption of the Apify platform, playing a key role in our US GTM strategy. This is a strategic role within our Developer Relations and Community team. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Developer Relations, Community Managers, Developer Advocates, and cross-functional teams. WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON: - Lead engagement initiatives: Architect and oversee local first and third party events, meetups, and hackathons, building relationships in the Bay Area developer community focused on AI and automation - Create technical content: Develop polished demos, sample apps, blog posts, or videos, that showcase how to build with Apify, emphasizing integrations with AI tools and frameworks - Deliver workshops and presentations: Create and lead hands-on workshops, tutorials, and presentations at developer events, both in-person across the US and online - Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations: Build strategic partnerships with other tech companies to collaborate on initiatives that promote community resources and enhance the use of Apify tools in AI contexts - Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team on the US go-to-market strategy, serving as a voice for developers to ensure their needs and feedback are represented in marketing efforts - Mentor junior team members: Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, fostering their growth and contributing to a positive team dynamic WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: - 5+ years experience in Developer Advocacy, Developer Relations, or technical evangelism, particularly with a focus on AI technologies - Strong hands-on development experience with JavaScript and/or Python - A profound understanding of developer needs, especially surrounding AI, with the ability to create resources that address pain points and and inform product growth and innovation - A strong portfolio of demos, talks, or tutorials showcasing your ability to engage developer audiences - Existing connections within the Bay Area developer community that can help accelerate ...
