You will work closely with engineering and operations teams in the London office, TE leadership and a wide spectrum of business lines to establish and provide oversight of regulatory compliance, training, safety, flight operation and standard practices both on-site and at a variety of test facilities. The challenges you will face will be innumerable and unpredictable, but you will be expected to work with cross functional teams to find resolutions that enable test flight activity in the EMEA region.<br><br><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage and grow a team of highly capable test operators and approvals experts</li> <li>Engage with the Civil Aviation Authority Military Aviation Authority on a variety of regulatory issues and advise on internal flight test planning procedures</li> <li>Design and manage requirements for specific category flight profiles in UK and European airspace</li> <li>Assist integration engineers with a variety of operational tasks that enable engineering, such as flight execution, material prep, or supporting test profiles by participating in flight tests</li> <li>Assist in sourcing components and airframes for testing against our Air Defense systems</li> <li>Work with our operations teams to provide flight support for Air Defence systems in the UK and Europe, this includes waypoint planning, and managing the suite of air vehicles that are available for use</li> <li>Act as the Flight Operations Post Holder and manager for operations in the region and ensure your team conforms to Anduril’s wider policies and best practices</li> <li>Assist our onsite teams based at flying sites within the UK and Europe</li> <li>Travel to various test sites and offices depending on testing requirements and team needs</li> <li>Construct high-level test plans and test procedures centred around envelope expansion and exercising UK Engineering payloads, sensors, algorithms and autonomous behaviors.</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Significant knowledge and understanding of UK airspace regulations and operating restrictions</li> <li>Knowledge and experience navigating the Defense Air Environment Operating framework as laid out in RA 1160, including adding RPAS to the MAR and specific category categorization</li> <li>Experience submitting Operational Authorization and associated documentation requests with the CAA</li> <li>Maintain a Flyer ID, a GVC for Rotary and Fixed Wing</li> <li>Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and avionic systems</li> <li>Ability to travel >50% of the time and commute weekly to a London based office</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to own a variety of tasks in an autonomous environment</li> <li>Able to work extended hours as required</li> <li>Strong customer service mentality</li> <li>Ability to de-construct and deliver results against complex tasks</li> <li>Valid driver’s license</li> <li>Able to lift 20kg overhead without support</li> <li>Ability to obtain a UK Security Check (SC) or higher clearance</li> </ ...
