The Command Center Solutions and Services team delivers solutions and maintenance services to the public safety sector. Job Description The CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) Network System Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, security, and high availability of the organization's mission-critical Public Safety network infrastructure, including the Motorola PremierOne (P1) Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platform. This role supports a 24/7/365 emergency communications environment and ensures system reliability, CJIS compliance, and operational continuity. The position requires strong, hands-on experience in virtualized infrastructure, container platforms, network architecture and administration (including routing/switching and firewalls), and managing all network services within a high-availability, ultra-low latency environment. Core Responsibilities & Qualifications: Administer and support the Motorola PremierOne (P1 CAD) network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Firewalls/VPNs) supporting 24/7 mission-critical applications. Perform network monitoring, performance tuning (QOS, traffic shaping), and capacity planning to ensure ultra-low latency and high-throughput. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network hardware, protocols, and third-party network components, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime. Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Coordinate with Motorola and third-party vendors for system upgrades, patches, and issue resolution. Maintain high-availability configurations, failover clusters, and disaster recovery replication. Administer and support network devices including Routers, Switches, and next-gen firewalls.
