Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER (STARSHIELD)</strong></p> <p>The Starshield Supply Chain team supports an elite group of engineers and supply chain professionals that establish and maintain the signals that enable the design, production, and launch, of the Starshield satellite constellation. Our team moves with efficiency. We are seeking out a supply chain planner that is eager to work on fast paced projects with immediate impact that are vital to SpaceX and national security. SpaceX has the unique ability to influence suppliers towards improvements as we challenge the supply chain on cost, quality, and speed of execution.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain accuracy and audit bill of materials (BOM) in material requirements planning (MRP) systems in preparation for satellite and subassembly rate production</li> <li>Establish and manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data, and develop expertise in SpaceX software, systems, and reporting tools</li> <li>Identify and mitigate risk to ensure continuity of supply chain by constructing and executing a supply plan that meets quality standards and production deadlines</li> <li>Develop an expertise in MRP and triage the signals and understand the matrix to apply your knowledge and educate the teams we support in the proper use of MRP and its benefit to the business</li> <li>Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality organizations to determine change cut in and reduce obsolescence of material and eliminate/reduce quality issues</li> <li>Partner with internal stakeholders on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigations, such as long-term purchases and strategic safety stock</li> <li>Proactively manage inventory and prevent stock outs while optimizing the utilization of SpaceX working capital</li> <li>Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve mission success</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, government regulations, and laws</li> <li>Proactively update SpaceX leadership and engineering teams on all critical supply issues</li> <li>Analyze supply chain data and report on MRP health metrics and their relation to business goals</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience working in one or more of the following, or 3+ years of experience working in one or more of the following in lieu of a degree:</li> <ul> <li>Engineering</li> <li>Purchasing</li> <li>Contract negotiation</li> <li>Material or production planning</li> <li>Operations or supply chain management</li> <li>Material cost control</li> <li>Master production scheduling</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical knowledge in a commodity – for example, machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending and assembly, weldment assembly, or soft goods</li> <li>Proven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, cost modeling, and negotiation</li> <li>Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions</li> <li>SQL experience</li> <li>PowerBI experience</li> <li>Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite: Excel/Project and the ability to create pivot tables or macros, and analyze data</li> <li>Experience navigating multitier bill of materials (BOM) and work orders</li> <li>APICS certification</li> <li>Lean Six Sigma certification</li> <li>Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills</li> <li>Detail-orient ...
