Backend Engineer - Channels

<p>As a Backend Engineer for the Channels team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the technology that drives Wix’s largest strategic partnerships. Your work will directly shape Wix’s 2026–2027 Channels strategy as you design and implement robust, integration-friendly platforms and tools.</p><ul><li>&#xa0;Lead the development of intelligent, AI-powered migration tools that analyze, interpret, and recreate external websites inside Wix&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;Design and develop backend services and APIs that power cross-platform user flows between Wix and major partners&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Implement scalable, secure integration layers (e.g., OAuth2 flows, JIT account creation, SSO, token handling, and cross-platform authentication)&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;Build and maintain event-driven flows and webhooks (e.g., site created, product imported, account linked/unlinked)&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;Contribute to the modernization of the Channels Platform, focusing on stability, performance, observability, and integration depth&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Collaborate closely with Product, FE, Data, ML, and partner engineering teams to design durable, real-world solutions&#xa0;&#xa0;</li></ul> <ul><li>&#xa0;4+ years of experience as a server engineer&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;At least 1 year of experience developing advanced AI products, including implementing and integrating GenAI models (especially LLMs) into production systems&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Proven ability in server solution design, API design, and leading technical discussions&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;Strong understanding of business objectives with the ability to translate them into actionable technical tasks&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>&#xa0;Experience with Large Language Models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, automatic evaluation, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) – an advantage&#xa0;</li></ul><p>At Wix, we believe our best work happens together.
