Join SolarWinds and grow with us!</p></div><p><strong>Your Role</strong></p> <p>SolarWinds is currently hiring a Sales Operations Intern for our Reston, Virginia office. This Internship role is best suited to someone with an analytical mindset, strong technical writing skills, and likely to be studying in the fields of Business and Management, Business Information Systems, Project Management, or IT. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work in a team as well as independently.</p> <p>The selected candidate will develop the skills to:</p> <ul> <li>Establish business relationships by skillfully engaging with IT decision-makers to identify opportunities and sell SolarWinds products and services.</li> <li>Work diligently to prospect, qualify, and support business opportunities in collaboration with the Public Sector Sales and Support Teams.</li> <li>Strategically identify renewal, new business, channel partnership, and local market opportunities.</li> <li>Educates prospective clients on products and services by conducting compelling product demos.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop skills to use a consultative approach to make warm calls and manage warm, inbound sales leads for product evaluation requests, customers who have downloaded trial versions of our products, and/or customers who have additional IT product needs. Gain opportunities to work with CRM Tools (Salesforce, NetSuite, Outreach) and with relational databases (Tableau, SQL).</li> <li>Collaborate with Revenue Operations analysts, project managers, marketing managers and business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements into sales actions.</li> <li>Partner with sales engineering to conduct technical problem solving and technical online web product demonstrations.</li> <li>Develop ability to execute activities for prospecting, lead generation, and selling of SolarWinds products to existing customers focusing on the portfolio of products.</li> <li>Through discovery, Identify the best platform fit for the customer and cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, while building and maintaining customer rapport.</li> <li>Maintain accurate customer records and activity and pipeline reports within Salesforce.</li> <li>Create and maintain documentation for sales processes and best practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate engaged in a Business Program, or STEM degree program with a minimum minor in Business Information Systems, Economics, Analytics, Data Science or Computer Science.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong time management ability.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with multiple areas of the company.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure, and with a high degree of professionalism delivering high-quality results on time.</li> <li ...
