We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>The Associate Director of Business Communications is responsible for helping develop and execute market-level communications plans, in partnership with our Market Leaders, Market Directors, and other partners across Oscar.</p> <p>You will report into the Senior Director, Business Communications.</p> <p><strong>Work Location: </strong>This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid</p> <p><strong>Pay Transparency: </strong>The base pay for this role is: $149,040 - $195,615 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute comprehensive market-level strategies that align to Oscar's strategic growth plan and the Market Leaders growth priorities.</li> <li>Assist with the development of executive thought leadership platforms, including presentation, event, networking, written, and social media opportunities, to show the innovative perspectives of our Oscar Insurance and Market Leaders.</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the market to position Oscar for speaking, sponsorships and other awareness-driving opportunities.</li> <li>Partner with the Oscar media team to develop market-level communications strategies across earned and owned media.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, public relations, investor relations, government affairs, and executive leadership, to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of market-level communications.</li> <li>Evaluate the efficacy of in-market communications strategies by tracking key engagement metrics and KPIs, in partnership with the Media team.</li> <li>Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.</li> <li>Experience managing multiple, complex projects at once and working in a deadline sensitive environment for executives.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus points:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Agency, in-house, healthcare – with an understanding of payor, provider, patient, and B2B services marketplace dynamics (or other regulated industry) – public affairs or state/local policy experience is a plus. </li> <li>Public company experience preferred</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity.
