This is a hybrid role located in San Jose, CA. with expectation to be onsite/in the office at least 3 days per week. Meet the Team This is a role within Cisco's DCN-Switching Group. You will work on developing test automation and manual testing of Nexus 9000 line of Data Center switches that features application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches Your Impact You are someone who thrives in a dynamic start-up like environment. You have at least 8 years of Datacenter device test engineering experience with manual test and strong automation development skill (Python) and are looking for an opportunity to shine, in a team where you can thrive, one that recognizes your capabilities and rewards you accordingly. You will be responsible for automation and feature test (routers/switches) Minimum Qualifications: Experience with software system specifications and developing test plans Programming experience with Python/C/C++, GIT, to develop modular and scalable automation to meet functional/solution requirement CI/CD, Jenkins, Test driven development, Test as a service approach with flexible and modular automation Experience with TCP/IP, Routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding, Knowledge of Linux, OS fundamentals Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field STEM Preferred Qualifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE (Datacenter/Networking/ Switching) Hands-on experience with VxLAN, STP, CoPP, QOS, Openconfig, Netconf, YANG, network automation Hands-on experience with the following datacenter technologies such as Servers, Virtualization, AI/ML to develop automation Knowledge in setup and configuration of datacenter hardware such as Cisco Nexus You are a standout teammate, with a can-do attitude, one that takes initiative.
