Simulation Engineer

Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids. As a Simulation Engineer at 1X Technologies, you will lead thermal and multi-body structural analysis for advanced robotic systems, supporting design decisions across development and production. Responsibilities Build and validate thermal models for actuators, electronics, and enclosures. Perform multi-body dynamics simulations for robot motion and load cases. Develop structural FEA models to assess stress, fatigue, and stiffness. Correlate simulations with test data; improve model fidelity. Define simulation best practices, templates, and documentation. Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and HW teams to translate requirements into models. Run DOE and sensitivity studies to guide design decisions. Support design reviews with clear technical reports and visualizations. Automate simulation workflows with scripting where appropriate. Contribute to system-level trade studies and architecture decisions.
