Sr Data Scientist - Payments Department: Data Science Team: Data Scientist Location: Hyderabad, India Type: Full-Time **About the Role** We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Payments Science team and make significant contributions to our mission to streamline and optimize Uber’s global payment experiences. You will work with product managers, engineers, business leaders and fellow data scientists to make meaningful contributions across various payment products in our rider and eater apps. Bachelors or M.S. with a degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields. 2. 5yrs+ experience in improving products, understanding the user journey and extracting insights from data. 3. Strong business and product sense: ability to shape complex, vague questions that touch multiple product/project areas into well-defined analyses that drive business decisions 4. Advanced SQL expertise and also comfortable with using Python and R when needed. 5. 5yrs+ experience in launching multiple large-scale experiments (such as A/B experiments) and an expert in experimental design and using statistical methods in exploratory analysis. 6.
