Senior Risk Operations Manager Department: Operations Team: Local Operations Location: Istanbul, Turkey Type: Full-Time **About the Role** We are looking for a Senior Regional Operations Manager who will be assessing, managing and minimizing fraud (both financial fraud and marketplace risk) in EMEA. This is a critical role for the business, it offers the opportunity to manage fraud across Lines of Business (LOB). - It's an operations-driven role that calls for a combination of data analytic skills with creative problem solving, detail oriented responsibility, and interpersonal ability to nurture and guide teams to take fraud management to the next level. - This is a challenging role in a high-growth environment; this person will work together with the Risk teams in EMEA countries, with headquarters-based engineering, product, and data science teams. This role will contribute enormously to the sustainable growth of the Uber business. **What You'll Do** - Focus: The main issues will be to reduce Financial Fraud, Chargebacks, Cash Arrears, Refunds and Appeasements, Promo Abuse, Did Not Settle… - Develop & Optimize Processes - Develop and implement new risk mitigation solutions and frameworks that improve our ability to detect, measure and intervene against fraudulent activity, including better operational processes, automated systems and upstream design solutioning. - Analytics - Analysis of databases using SQL or Python to review earner, spender and merchant fraud related metrics to properly detect fraud and ensure high-quality experiences on the Uber system. - Strategy - Choose which projects the team should prioritize, and set a timeline to reach goals quickly. - Product Improvement - Evaluate risk potential of new product features or business lines and inform decision-making at the design and roll-out stages. **What You'll Have** - Experience with SQL and/or development experience in one scripting language (ideally Python, but R is also considered). - Problem solving - Being able to solve issues that involve people and processes by using logic, common sense and data.
