Business Development Manager, Merchant Technology Department: Business Development Team: Business Development Location: New York, United States Type: Full-Time **About the Role** As Uber continues to expand its services and technologies globally, the **Business Development team** is seeking a **highly strategic and results-driven dealmaker** to grow strategic product partnerships designed to drive scale with our most valuable merchant and corporate partners. In this role, you will be responsible for both shaping the strategy and leading the execution of partnerships that span across sectors, including **Uber Eats, Uber Direct, Uber for Business,** and other key verticals to drive Uber’s growth and innovation. **What You’ll Do:** - **Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities** across various sectors, with a focus on high-impact collaborations that drive business growth. - **Lead end-to-end partnership processes**, from initial outreach and business case development to contract negotiations and implementation. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams— **Corporate Development**, **Product, Finance, Compliance, Policy, Marketing, Operations, Legal & Engineering**—to ensure partnership strategies align with overall business goals and drive value. - Develop and present **strategic deal analytics, competitive research, and market insights** to guide business decision-making and shape partnership strategies. - Support and contribute to the overall **BD team’s efforts** by driving operational excellence and assisting in key deals or projects that require team collaboration. - **Own and cultivate partnerships** that you will manage independently, ensuring long-term success through proactive relationship management and performance monitoring. - **Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all channels** (written, verbal, presentations, and negotiations) to effectively influence stakeholders and secure alignment at all levels of the organization. - **Be results-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity**, proactively bringing clarity and structure to complex or undefined situations to drive tangib
