<p>As Marqeta’s <strong>Key Account Manager</strong>, you will partner with a cross-functional team and manage one of our global strategic accounts. You will bring a strong track record of growth and deep relationship-building experience to provide exceptional client service, uncover revenue-generating opportunities and workable solutions to your customers. You persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your customer to understand how our product offerings can grow their business.</p> <p>We work <a href="https://www.marqeta.com/blog/2022/05/10/flexible-first">Flexible First</a>. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from our Oakland or New York City offices. We'd love for you to join us!</p> <p><em>NOTE: if you are based within 35 miles of our Oakland, California, New York City (Midtown) or London (Holborn) office, you will be expected to be in-office 2 days / week. You understand the payments space deeply, particularly Card Issuing Processing.</li> <li><strong>Numbers Fanatic</strong>: You model, plan, and monitor a path to growth (new products, business lines, geographies) based on the right data.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Connector</strong>: Our customers and partners rely deeply on the expertise and knowledge of our Account Managers. You excel at supporting cross-functional efforts and love connecting people and ideas to drive innovation.</li> <li><strong>Curious Questioner</strong>: Your passion for knowledge and learning drives you to constantly dig deeper to understand your customers, Marqeta, our technology, and the industry in general</li> <li><strong>Thoughtful Challenger</strong>: As a trusted partner leading with insights, you push yourself, the team, and your customers to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to strategic challenges.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong><strong> </strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of Global Account Management experience in the payments space</li> <li>Proven experience growing and scaling strategic accounts and building multi stakeholder relationships.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge in fintech, banking, payments and money movement</li> <li>Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email) and track record of creating and executing strategic account plans.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization.</li> <li>Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to lead team independently.</li> <li>Strong grasp of industry trends and competitive landscape.</li> <li>Hands on experience in negotiating contracts, pricing models and renewals.</li> <li>Proven track record of cross selling and upselling and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs.</li> <li>Experience leading business reviews and using data driven strategies to make informed decisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Skills and Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience growing and scaling strategic or enterprise accounts.</li> <li>Proven track record of managing global customers with multi region stakeholders.</li> <li>Proven track record of cross-selling and upselling, and ability to identify new revenue streams based on customer needs.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, ...
