About the role We are seeking a Finance Strategy, Product team member to join our Finance team at Anthropic. In this role, you will be a key partner to our product teams, providing financial expertise and guidance to support strategic decision-making. As we continue to grow, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, building models, and delivering insights to drive informed business decisions across each of our lines of business. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with other members of the finance organization to align product and compute strategies with broader financial considerations. Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance, recommendations, and influence to product stakeholders on financial strategies, investments, and resource allocation decisions, leveraging an in-depth understanding of the company's financials Partner cross-functionally to drive analysis, build financial models, and recommend business decisions across a variety of areas, such as pricing and packaging, business expansion, and defining new unit economic frameworks Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and insightful financial reports, analyses, and forecasts, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to facilitate informed decision-making to stakeholders and executives Collaborate with other members of Finance Strategy, and accounting counterparts, helping to align product and compute with broader financial strategies and considerations Establish and implement reporting dashboards and scorecards to track key operational and financial metrics Requirements: 7+ years experience across product finance, compute finance, investment banking, private equity, and growth equity Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to synthesize data into compelling insights and develop / maintain complex financial operating models Extraordinary problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to navigate complex financial challenges Comfort working cross-functionally and are adept at communicating complex financial information to non-finance audiences Excitement about working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt well to change Possess a bias towards action, strong work ethic, and have experience driving operational outcomes under tight timelines Strong relationship building, business judgment, process management, and communication skills Are passionate about Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems Strong candidates may also have: Experience with consumption based and/or complex business models High knowledge of and interest in cloud computing infrastructure Background in AI, ML, or related technologies The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $235,000 $310,000 USD Logistics Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
