RCM AR Team Lead

Position Summary The Revenue Cycle AR Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) team to ensure timely claim resolution, regulatory compliance, and optimal revenue cycle performance. This role drives process improvements, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and provides leadership and support to ensure team success and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage daily AR team operations to ensure timely follow-up on claims, resolution of outstanding accounts, and adherence to compliance standards including HIPAA. Monitor productivity and quality metrics to ensure achievement of departmental KPIs and service level agreements. Identify denial trends, analyze root causes, and develop corrective action plans and workflows to reduce AR aging and improve cash flow. Resolve escalated account issues and provide guidance and support to team members. Conduct ongoing training sessions to keep the team updated on payer guidelines, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Prepare, analyze, and present regular performance reports including productivity, quality, aging reports, and collection metrics. Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall revenue cycle performance. Collaborate with internal departments and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service delivery. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable within healthcare revenue cycle management. In-depth knowledge of AR follow-up processes, denial management, and payer communication. Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in AR systems, billing software, and Microsoft Excel (reporting, pivot tables, data analysis). Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement strategic improvements.
