Position Summary: ultra impact – Make a difference for those who need it most A ssist in with small scale synthesis of oligonucleotides ( ASO and siRNA ) . Responsibilities include operating synthesizer , preparing reagents, running HPLC/LC- MS and maintaining documentation . The c o-op will gain exposure to synthesis and analysis of ASO using automated synthesizer and a variety of analytical and purification instruments. Work Model: Core Lab Ops: This role typically requires that the majority of the work be conducted on-site. Responsibilities: Synthesize, purify, and characterize oligonucleotide constructs. Record experimental data, procedures and results in Electronic Notebook (ELN). Performed desalting operations using TFF (tangential flow filtration). Prepare reagents/buffers for synthesis and characterization methods. Summarize data in presentations and technical reports. Requirements: Graduate or Undergraduate student in, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology program with an emphasis on Organic Chemistry and interest in oligonucleotide synthesis, with at least two years of coursework completed. This is a 6 month co-op, starting July 6, 2026 working full-time (40 hours per week) until December 18, 2026 Understanding of organic chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and oligonucleotide synthesis. Previous lab experience. At least 3 months of laboratory experience, 6 months prefer. Strong attention to detail, organization and adherence to safety protocols. Prior experience with characterization of organic molecules with H/UPLC and LC-MS is a plus. Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment, pH meter, balances, pipets, ASO and siRNA experience a plus U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $23.00-$30.00/hour. T he estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives.
