About the Role 🌍 We're looking for a skilled Senior Counsel to join our global legal department. In this role, you'll be a key player in our Employment Law, Privacy, and Ethics Compliance team, where we navigate complex legal issues and conduct investigations across more than 20 countries. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a multinational company and a strong interest in providing practical, real-world legal advice that respects diverse cultures and legal frameworks. What You'll Do Lead Investigations: Conduct and advise on confidential investigations into a wide range of sensitive matters, including harassment, discrimination, and conflicts of interest. Provide Strategic Advice: Serve as a trusted advisor to our People Culture (PC) team, executives, and managers. You'll provide strategic, risk-based legal counsel on complex issues like hiring, terminations, employee rights, and anti-discrimination. Resolve Disputes: Efficiently and effectively resolve legal disputes, working closely with PC and external counsel. Drive Compliance: Partner with PC to create and implement global initiatives by harmonizing legal requirements across diverse geographies. You will also collaborate to draft and review policies and contracts, as well as developing and delivering training to ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Focus on geographic areas: India, United States, APAC, and Middle East Mentor and Coach: Train and guide members of the PC team. The Qualifications We Are Looking For A law degree and bar admission (active and in good standing) A minimum of 5 years of experience as an employment law attorney, with: At least 2 years working in the legal department of a multinational corporation with headquarters in the U.S. or Europe Strong expertise providing legal advice to companies undergoing rapid growth, with a sophisticated understanding of multifaceted employment law compliance Experience working on employment law matters that required knowledge of U.S. employment law A proven track record of conducting and documenting thorough, unbiased internal investigations Fluency in English (speaking, writing, and listening) Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder credibility. You must be able to build trust and communicate with empathy and discretion with a diverse range of people including senior management A high degree of professional judgment, integrity and the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset.
