Fullstack Engineer, Commerce AI Platform

The opportunity You have likely used something we built today, possibly more than once. Our distributed engineering team builds the next generation of Commerce capabilities for some of the biggest brands globally. In 2026, this involves systems where agents, models, and humans work together in the same loop. We deliver at a scale that was unattainable two years ago. This isn't an AI-curious role. It's an AI-native one. What you'll actually be doing Own the integration between Adobe Commerce and LLM partners, the infrastructure that puts agentic shopping capabilities in front of millions of customers Compose and build multi-agent workflows that decompose complex commerce problems: product discovery, personalization, checkout optimization, things that benefit from agents collaborating rather than a single monolithic service Work across the stack on a high-performance, cloud-native e-commerce platform that's being actively reinvented Build the architecture. We have hard problems and want engineers who want to get into them, not just complete tickets Push back on how we've been doing things. If an agent can handle a chunk of work better, make the case and prove it What you bring You treat AI tools as your actual development environment, not a novelty. You know when to trust an agent to run with something and when to stay in the loop and you build systems with that distinction baked in. Agentic development as a daily practice: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar used for full-feature development, architecture exploration, test generation, code review. You managed agent-to-agent communication, handled tool calling, and used frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or the Claude tool use API in a project that shipped or was validated LLM API proficiency with Anthropic, OpenAI: streaming, function calling, structured outputs, and the judgment to manage cost/latency tradeoffs that matter at scale Ideally you've built evals, measured agent accuracy over time, and caught regressions before users did. This is increasingly non-negotiable in production AI systems Technical baseline Frontend: React Backend: Python or Node.js, production-grade Strong fundamentals: OOP, functional programming, source control, software lifecycle APIs: RESTful, GraphQL You own what you ship: CI/CD, monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus), infrastructure as code Commerce domain experience or equivalent experience is a genuine advantage here — there's a lot of context that takes time to build About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
