We’re growing our content library to become a go-to educational resource for students, teachers, and writers who care about the craft of writing. We’re looking for ancontent writer with a deep understanding of English composition, academic writing, and essay structure. You’ll produce approximately 50 high-quality blog posts over a 3–5 month engagement, covering topics like how to write argumentative essays, thesis statements, narrative writing, research papers, and more. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Research and write SEO-optimized blog posts on English writing topics (essay types, writing techniques, academic formats, professional documents) - Gather insights and real-world examples from communities like Reddit, student forums, and educator networks to make content relatable and authentic - Optimize content for target keywords, search intent, internal/external linking, and on-page SEO best practices WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: - Strong English & academic writing background — you’ve taught, tutored, or studied English composition at the university level - 2–5 years of professional content writing or copywriting experience with a portfolio of published work - Proven track record writing SEO content that ranks — you understand keyword research, search intent, on-page optimization, and content structure - Excellent attention to detail — you deliver clean, well-structured drafts that require minimal editing - Based in the United States or Canada NICE TO HAVE: - Experience writing for EdTech, SaaS, or AI-related brands - Familiarity with AI writing tools and AI detection - Background in journalism, publishing, or editorial work - Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, or SurferSEO At GPTZero, our recruiting team is involved in every step of the hiring process.
