We are seeking a Recruiting Lead with deep experience in technical recruiting and a strong understanding of the hardware and/or AI landscape. This role will play a critical part in scaling our teams by owning key stages of the hiring process, delivering an exceptional candidate experience, and driving performance through reporting key metrics for talent acquisition to senior leadership and hiring teams.

You will have a direct impact on company growth and will help shape recruiting processes as MatX continues to scale.
What You’ll Do Here
Lead the talent function as hands on manager of full-cycle recruiting activities, including designing roles, from sourcing to offer negotiation
Develop and execute recruiting strategies (market mapping, direct outreach) to identify, source, and hire top technical talent, with a focus on system hardware, silicon, and software roles, including hard-to-fill technical roles
Hire for roles that span the product development cycle from architecture to various functional engineering roles, including design, validation, testability, silicon physical design, system hardware design, infrastructure-as-code, customer support, and product deployment
Offer guidance to technical recruiters while helping prioritize work to meet business needs and team capacity
Partner closely with leadership and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, required skills, and role-specific qualifications
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and long-term candidate relationship building
Adapt quickly to shifting hiring priorities in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment
Design and implement scalable recruiting frameworks, ATS, interview scorecards, and SLAs (e.g., "5 Days or Less" for hires).
Provide regular, data-driven updates to leadership on pipeline metrics and candidate progress to continuously improve hiring velocity and outcomes
Have a proven track record of scaling and building diverse and high-performing teams
Ensure timely, clear, and thoughtful communication with candidates throughout the early hiring stages
Ensure a world-class, professional, and highly responsive journey for every candidate.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in relevant Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources/Organizational Behavior, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience
8 - 10+ years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting, ideally supporting hardware, systems, or AI-focused teams in a highly competitive market
Strong preference for someone with experience in early-stage companies (Seed-Series B) - that understands that this stage of maturity involves building, refining and moving quickly
A high level of comfort reviewing candidate qualifications and understanding what the person actually built – you know enough about silicon design flows, RTL, verification methodologies, physical design, sign-off, compilers, GPU kernels, software simulators to have thoughtful conversations with engineers ranging in experience from new graduates to senior staff
Prior experience with high-volume recruiting (e.g., filling 25 roles per quarter), recruiting in startups or high-growth environments
Partner with founders and senior leadership to build the company's talent narrative and brand to attract top candidates
Proven track record of hiring high-impact technical talent
