The role
The Junior Privacy Manager will work closely with business and technology teams across Nebius to identify privacy risks, help create solutions, and collaborate on strategies to enable business success in this rapidly-evolving regulatory environment. The position is part of a collegial Group Privacy Office, which forms part of the Legal team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist in monitoring compliance with GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations in the EU, US, worldwide
Support the execution of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
Help draft and maintain privacy documentation, including privacy notices, internal guidelines, templates, and training materials.
Collaborate with IT, Product, and Security teams to verify that data protection controls are properly implemented and documented
Conduct vendor assessments under the supervision of senior privacy managers
Support incident response activities, including documentation and coordination related to data breaches or security alerts
Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends to inform internal stakeholders about emerging privacy requirements
Provide day-to-day support to internal teams by responding to privacy-related questions and guiding them on best practices
We expect you to have:
Degree in Law, Information Technology, Information Security, Compliance, or a related discipline (other disciplines are also considered)
at least 3 years of experience in privacy / data protection management
Familiarity with data protection tools (e.g., RoPA systems, DPIA tools, DLP systems).
Interest in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
Foundational knowledge of European data protection laws , particularly GDPR
Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT (or willingness to obtain them).
Excellent command of the English language, Dutch will be a plus
Exposure to international or multicultural working environments
Willingness to learn and develop expertise in privacy and technology
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong administrative and organizational skills, including effective use of ERP systems
