Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Technical Recruiter to join our global Recruiting team. In this role, you will focus on hiring engineers across our Trading Technology (live trading environment) and Research Development (enabling research) engineering teams. You will partner directly with hiring managers who have incredibly high standards, helping them navigate a competitive talent landscape. You will engage with deeply technical candidates, and manage the end-to-end hiring process for a variety of technical roles within HRT’s engineering ecosystem. HRT is one of the top quantitative trading firms in the world. We combine world-class engineering and scientific rigor with a low-ego, collaborative culture. Our people and our compute capabilities are our two most important differentiators, and that is where we are investing the most. We want recruiters who bring a unique perspective and curiosity, who can challenge the status quo of how to find the brilliant yet humble technical talent that make HRT so special. Responsibilities Partner directly with engineering leadership on recruitment strategy, and be a proactive and consultative strategic partner to hiring managers Manage the end-to-end hiring pipelines of engineering roles from first outreach through offer acceptance, including navigating complex offer negotiations Provide a high-touch, white-glove candidate experience across both opportunistic roles and high-volume pipelines Apply an engineering mindset to your recruitment approach, continuously leveraging recruiting data analytics to identify inefficiencies and iterate on your process Build relationships with external recruitment agencies to generate high-quality candidate flow for your roles Conduct market research and talent mapping projects to identify top technical talent, uncover candidate trends, and complete competitor analyses Attract passive candidates using creative sourcing methods (open-source community involvement, network building, direct outreach, referrals) to build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs Qualifications 3+ years of full life cycle technical recruiting experience Bachelor’s degree Proven success recruiting in specialized technical domains Strong talent mapping capabilities—comfortable researching companies, org structures, roles, and skills in depth Data-driven mindset with experience using recruiting analytics to guide strategy Excellent cross-functional verbal and written communication skills A passion for building technical teams and delivering an outstanding candidate experience The estimated base salary range for this position is 150,000 to 250,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
