As a Salesforce Engineering Manager, play a key role in advancing Ciena’s global CRM capabilities and shaping strategic, scalable solutions across our growing Salesforce ecosystem. This opportunity influences platform innovation, builds trusted partnerships across distributed teams, and enables exceptional user experiences that support Ciena’s mission to drive high‑speed, adaptive networks. How you will make an impact: Lead the architecture and delivery of complex Salesforce solutions spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications. Establish design direction for scalability, performance, and long‑term platform integrity. Champion development, security, integration, and governance standards across the Salesforce landscape. Guide a distributed engineering team through mentorship, continuous development, and performance excellence. Partner closely with product owners and business leaders to translate business needs into measurable technical outcomes. Drive cross‑functional alignment with teams such as product, quality assurance, infrastructure, and global support. Advance modernization initiatives, evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities, and contribute to strategic roadmap evolution. The must haves: 14+ years of Salesforce development and architecture experience (+) 3+ years leading engineering teams or serving in a senior technical leadership role (+) Expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs Experience implementing agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps approaches Strong ability to influence technical decision‑making in complex enterprise environments Demonstrated success building partnerships and driving collaboration across distributed teams Salesforce certifications such as Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect (highly preferred) Nice to haves: Experience working within global delivery models and distributed team structures Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft or similar middleware technologies Background supporting enterprise CRM transformation programs Exposure to adjacent technologies beyond the Salesforce ecosystem Experience contributing to or leading AI‑driven platform initiatives, including Agentforce #LI-MP1 Not ready to apply?
