MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THIS JOURNEY We're seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our finance team and drive our revenue recognition strategy and systems. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 (International Financial Reporting Standard for revenue recognition) accounting standards while optimizing our revenue processes across the organization. As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you'll work closely with Deal Desk (our sales contract structuring team), Sales Operations, Legal, Product, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition. You'll be part of the revenue finance team of approximately 4 people. This is an individual contributor role focused on bringing technical accounting expertise to a fast-growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment, handling complex contracts and large-scale data analysis. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES REVENUE RECOGNITION - Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15 - Review and analyze contracts and add-ons to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment - Handle complex revenue scenarios across our SaaS and high-volume data environment FINANCIAL REPORTING - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing adjustments and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to revenue - Ensure accounts are closed in a timely manner with proper documentation DATA ANALYTICS & AUTOMATION - Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract data from various infrastructure (e.g., Salesforce, Databricks) for monthly revenue closing and reporting - Use Python to automate large-scale reconciliations between source systems and the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies in real-time PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Identify opportunities to streamline efficiency and enhan ...
