Job Description
The opportunity We are seeking a talented Senior Game Designer who is deeply passionate about the mobile gaming ecosystem and laser-focused on creating the next hybrid-casual hit. You will be a driving force in our development cycle, responsible for turning market insights into engaging gameplay. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between creative "feel" and data-driven logic, ensuring our games reach the highest standards of quality, innovation and fun.
What you'll be doing
Conceptualization: Ideate and pitch fresh game concepts, identifying unique "hooks" that combine high market appeal with long-term depth.
Feature Ownership: Pitch and implement core features, deconstructing high-level ideas into clear, actionable components for the team.
Market Benchmarking: Constantly analyze the mobile market to stay on top of new trends, mechanics and successful hybrid-casual models.
Balance Pacing: Fine-tune game balancing, difficulty curves, and the overall "feel" (juice) to optimize player engagement and retention.
Data-Informed Design: Always back up your design decisions with available data points, using tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior.
Full-Cycle Collaboration: Get involved in all aspects of development—from UI/UX flows and game logic to performance and polish.
Prototyping: Create and iterate on playable prototypes both individually and within a team environment.
What we're looking for
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience as a Game Designer in the mobile gaming industry (Hybrid-Casual focus).
Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Hybrid Casual landscape and what differentiates it from hyper-casual, casual, and mid-core.
Marketability UA: Familiarity with User Acquisition (UA) principles; mechanics and "visual hooks" that translate into high-performing marketing creatives and low CPIs.
Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to deconstruct and analyze competitor mechanics and translate those findings into design specs.
Detail-Oriented: You have a sharp eye for gameplay experience and the "small things" that make a game feel great.
Positive Mindset: You have a can-do approach and a positive attitude toward receiving and acting on feedback.
Team player: You are a highly collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal skills that thrives in a team environment.
Accountability: You take responsibility for your work and can work independently when given ownership of a feature.
Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
