This role will provide Finance and Technology leadership with complete visibility into hosting costs and ensure a clear understanding of the drivers of change. The Finance Manager will integrate hosting spend into Reddit's budget and forecasts, reconcile actuals during the close, and partner with Engineering to track and validate cost-saving initiatives.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Forecasting & Budgeting</strong><strong><br><br></strong></li> <ul> <li>Develop sophisticated financial models for hosting spend, long-term financial planning, and strategic contract negotiations</li> <li>Conduct scenario analysis for scaling, product launches, and contract commitments</li> <li>Lead monthly variance analysis of spend vs. the budget and forecast for different LoBs</li> <li>Build standardized and consistent reporting packages highlighting trends and their impact on Reddit’s P&L</li> <li>Develop cost optimization initiatives and tracking mechanisms</li> <li>Develop ROI models to support cloud investments in the areas of strategic importance</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Cost Optimization & Governance</strong><strong><br><br></strong></li> <ul> <li>Leverage previous experiences and industry best practices to proactively propose efficiency initiatives to engineering </li> <li>Drive savings initiatives to completion by developing accountability mechanisms for engineering</li> <li>Enforce tagging and allocation governance for improved visibility and accountability</li> <li>Serve as a financial advisor to engineering, SRE, and cloud platform teams, providing insights on budgeting, unit economics, optimizations and financial strategy.<br><br></li> </ul> <li><strong>Analytics & Tools</strong><strong><br><br></strong></li> <ul> <li>Build and maintain dashboards to serve as Finance’s source of truth for hosting cost reporting.</li> <li>Use billing tools to support reporting accuracy.</li> &lt ...
