What is The Role Elastic, makers of the hugely popular open source products Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats, is growing very fast and so is our marketing team. As a key member of the Marketing Automation and Decision Sciences team, you will play a hands-on, critical role in MarTech management, MarTech innovation, and program managing key projects and processes that are vital to Elastic’s ability to deliver on our promise of Free and Open. Elastic is looking for a flexible and adaptable person with the ability to manage a variety of different tasks and responsibilities. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated individual who has marketing automation experience, is process oriented, has the aptitude and desire to solve complex business challenges, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment. What You Will Be Doing Provide direct supervision to a team of professional individual contributors, offering technical mentorship and professional development guidance. Serve as the primary advisor to internal sub-units, actively intervening when necessary to resolve bottlenecks, meet critical schedules, and mitigate risks. Manage and oversee daily marketing automation activities, ensuring operational requests from the global marketing team are prioritized and executed against core business objectives. Manage high-level stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication regarding project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies. Direct the implementation of Marketo campaigns, ensuring alignment with demand generation strategies and maintaining high standards for lead flow integrity and data governance. Administer company policies and provide clear direction to subordinates based on established management guidance and organizational goals. Exercise independent judgment within defined procedures to analyze complex data sets, determining the most effective course of action for marketing operation-related initiatives. Recommend policy changes for the marketing operations unit to improve efficiency, scalability, and technical performance. Drive process optimization by automating manual workflows and ensuring the team’s output scales with the company’s growth. Oversee the maintenance and distribution of internal knowledge hubs, ensuring the wider organization is trained and aligned on new technologies and operational standards. What You Bring Proven marketing automation experience (3+ yrs). The ideal candidate will have their Marketo certification. Experience with Salesforce.com, Workfront, Zapier, and proficient in Google suite of products.
